This event, which occurred on February 10, involved 18-year-old Jesse Van Rootselaar who took the lives of her mother and brother at their family home before proceeding to the school, where five children and an educational assistant were also killed. The shooting ended with Van Rootselaar taking her own life as police closed in.
Images shared on social media depict excavators dismantling the structure, ripping into the walls and exposing pink insulation, while piles of scrap metal gather beside the school.
