A man is currently being sought by the Toronto police for the alleged sexual assault of a child in Roundhouse Park, located in the CityPlace neighbourhood. The incident reportedly took place on Tuesday, around 4:15 p.m., when authorities received calls regarding a sexual assault in the park.
According to initial reports, a six-year-old child was in the park playing with toy trains when a male suspect approached. It is alleged that the man sexually assaulted the child while they were engaged in their play. Disturbingly, when the child's parent confronted the suspect, the man allegedly assaulted the child again before fleeing the scene.
The suspect has been described by witnesses as being between 55 to 60 years old, standing approximately five feet six inches tall, and having an average build. He was noted to have a receding hairline with a bald crown, and his hair is a mix of black and grey. The suspect was also reported to be clean-shaven and wearing prescription glasses with a silver metal frame.
Toronto police have released the image of the suspect in hopes that it will help generate leads in the case. They are urging anyone who may have information regarding the man's identity or his whereabouts to come forward and assist with the investigation.
