In a significant human trafficking investigation, two women have been charged alongside a man already facing an extensive array of allegations. This inquiry, initiated by police in Peel Region, began in October 2024, in coordination with Halton police, after independent claims from two women regarding their experiences of sexual trafficking across the Golden Horseshoe region.
The central figure in this case, 37-year-old Marcus Moses, also known by the aliases "King Marlow" or "Marlow," was arrested in November 2024. He faces an alarming total of 26 charges, which include human trafficking, drug trafficking, and possession of weapons. Authorities have confirmed that Moses is currently in custody, and as new victims have come forward, an additional 20 charges have been added to his profile.
As the investigation unfolded, the police also apprehended two women linked to the trafficking network. They are identified as 31-year-old Ashley Mullings and 34-year-old Tiana Beckford, both residents of Thorold. Collectively, they face 18 charges ranging from human trafficking to advertising sexual services, as well as drug and weapons possession. Following their arrests, both women were granted bail but are subject to specific court-imposed conditions as the case continues to develop.
Investigators believe that there may be other victims associated with both Marcus Moses and the two women, particularly within the Golden Horseshoe region, stretching back as far as 2014. This broad timeframe indicates the potential for a larger network and highlights the ongoing concerns surrounding human trafficking and its pervasive impact in the area.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have additional information related to these cases or who may have been affected to come forward and assist with the investigation. As this case progresses, the focus remains on bringing justice to the victims and dismantling the trafficking operations that exploit vulnerable individuals.
