Peel Regional Police are actively seeking to identify a man following multiple reports regarding his behavior towards children in a Brampton park earlier this month. The incidents drew the attention of law enforcement after two separate complaints were made during early June concerning the same elderly individual spotted at a park located near 590 North Park Drive.
According to a police statement, the man allegedly approached children on both occasions, asking them questions about their residences and whether they were interested in accompanying him. This interaction raised significant concerns, particularly as it made the children feel uncomfortable. In one instance, the man was seen walking with an elderly woman and an adolescent girl, further alarming the young ones, prompting them to report their experiences to trusted adults.
The suspect is described as being of South Asian descent, estimated to be between 60 and 70 years old, and has a thin build complemented by a white, medium-length beard. He was observed wearing traditional Indian attire, which included a kurta pajama, a black vest, and a turquoise or green turban. This distinctive appearance has made it easier for the community to potentially recognize him.
Peel Police emphasized that, at this stage, no criminal offenses have been alleged against the man.
