Teens Flee Crash Scene, Injuring Woman and Kids

Police in Peel Region are actively searching for two young men believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, who were involved in a serious car accident on July 3. The incident resulted in critical injuries to a woman and four children, who are currently hospitalized but are reported to be in stable condition.

The crash occurred at approximately 4 p.m. at the intersection of Ninth Line and Erin Centre Boulevard, involving a black Range Rover and a red Honda Civic. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the occupants of the Range Rover fled the scene without checking on the condition of those injured in the crash.

The two suspects are described as young black men, potentially carrying injuries from the collision themselves. They are believed to have been present in the black Range Rover that was seen leaving the crash site.

Prior to the accident, investigators indicated that the Range Rover had been involved in a noteworthy incident approximately four kilometers away at a fitness center located near Highway 403 and Winston Churchill Boulevard. Preliminary reports suggest that a firearm may have been involved in this earlier interaction, raising concerns about the circumstances surrounding the drivers of the vehicles involved in both incidents.

According to police, the black Range Rover, along with an unconfirmed newer model Red Ford Mustang, travelled west along Unity Drive, then proceeded north on Ridgeway Drive to Eglinton Avenue. From there, the vehicles continued west along Eglinton Avenue until reaching Ninth Line, where the collision ultimately occurred when they turned north.

Authorities are urging any motorists or bystanders who were in or near the specified areas between 3:50 p.m. and 4:10 p.m. on the day of the crash to come forward with any information they may have. This includes anyone who might have witnessed the incident or encountered either the Range Rover, which bears the Ontario license plate DERX431, or the red Ford Mustang.

The Peel Regional Police have opened an investigation and are actively working to locate the suspects involved. They have emphasized the importance of community assistance in resolving this case, particularly in identifying the individuals responsible for the accident and ensuring accountability for their actions.

The public is reminded that any details, no matter how small, could aid in the investigation, and those with information are encouraged to reach out to the local police department.
