The first incident occurred on June 27 at approximately 7:10 p.m. A victim reported being approached by an unknown man while she was in the Toronto Music Garden, located near Queens Quay and Dan Leckie Way. The man, identifying himself as a palm reader, asked the victim if she would allow him to take her picture. After gaining her trust, he led her to a secluded area where he allegedly sexually assaulted her.
In a concerning development, police received another report about a month later, indicating that a similar sexual assault had taken place nearby. On July 31, at around 8:30 p.m., another victim encountered a man in Coronation Park who also asked to take her photograph. Like the previous case, he claimed to be a palm reader and offered to tell her fortune. After luring her to an isolated location, the man proceeded to allegedly assault her.
Investigators believe that both incidents are connected and that the same man is responsible for both assaults. Descriptions provided by the victims have allowed police to create a profile of the suspect. He is described as being approximately 40 years old, standing around five-foot-nine, with a medium build and short black hair. Additionally, he is believed to be of Middle Eastern descent, which could aid in identifying him.
