A man has been charged following a serious road rage incident that took place on Highway 401 in Toronto, resulting in two individuals being stabbed. The incident occurred on a Monday afternoon, specifically around 4:30 p.m., prompting a response from the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).

Authorities were alerted to a confrontation between two vehicles on the eastbound collector lanes of the highway near Brimley Road. Upon their arrival, however, they found that all individuals involved had already left the scene of the altercation.

The alleged road rage incident involved two cars: a white Mercedes and a silver Mazda. Reports indicate that both vehicles had come to a stop on the left shoulder of Highway 401, where the occupants exited their cars. At that point, the driver of the white Mercedes reportedly confronted two individuals from the Mazda, leading to a violent confrontation where both victims were stabbed.

After the stabbing, the two victims sought medical attention on their own and proceeded to a nearby hospital. The severity of their injuries varied; one victim, a 35-year-old man, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other victim, a 31-year-old man, suffered minor injuries. This initiated an investigation by the police, who gathered details about the incident.

In connection with the incident, Franklyn Ferguson, a 44-year-old resident of Toronto, has been arrested. He faces multiple charges, including assault with a weapon, aggravated assault, assault, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. The police investigation continues as they collect further evidence and testimonies regarding the altercation.
