Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that three individuals were injured and four others were taken into custody following a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in Caledon. Law enforcement received calls concerning gunfire at a residence located on Finnerty Side Road around 5:15 a.m.

In response to the shooting, the OPP established a significant perimeter by blocking off Highway 9, encompassing areas between The Gore Road, Patterson Side Road, Finnerty Street, and Humber Station Road. This action was taken due to the presence of individuals who were considered potentially armed.

Among the injured, one person was reported to have serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the other two victims were found to have minor injuries.
