The reported incidents took place specifically on Highway 406 between Westchester Avenue and Fourth Avenue in St. Catharines, on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) near Mountain Road in Niagara Falls, and on Highway 58 near Pine Street in Thorold. After thorough investigation, police believe that a single individual is behind all three incidents. The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Ammar Al-Zubaidi, a resident of St. Catharines. Al-Zubaidi has been arrested and now faces serious charges, including nine counts of mischief and endangering life.
Currently, Al-Zubaidi remains in police custody and is set to appear in court on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The legal proceedings will determine the consequences of his alleged actions, which have not only caused property damage but also put the lives of innocent drivers at risk.
