York Regional Police have recently charged four men and two women following a significant drug and gun investigation that spanned multiple jurisdictions in Ontario. The investigation began in October 2025, as law enforcement officials looked into suspected cocaine trafficking activities.
As part of their efforts, authorities executed a total of nine search warrants over a three-month period at four residences and five storage lockers located in various cities, including Toronto, Vaughan, Barrie, Espanola, and Innisfil. A notable search was also conducted at a federal prison in Gravenhurst.
During these searches, police officers seized an impressive haul of illegal substances, capturing 102 kilograms of cocaine, along with a loaded firearm and more than $135,000 in cash. These seizures highlight the scale of the trafficking operation being investigated.
In the aftermath of the investigation, authorities charged 40-year-old Sherrie Donovan from Espanola and 29-year-old William Donovan from Toronto with serious offenses, including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and conspiracy to traffic cocaine.
Additionally, two individuals from Barrie, 36-year-old Kevin Forde and 35-year-old Solange Khan, face multiple charges, which include:
- Possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine
- Possession of a prohibited firearm
- Possession of prohibited devices
- Possession of a prohibited firearm with ammunition
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of proceeds obtained by crime over $5,000
Khan has also been charged separately with conspiracy to traffic cocaine, indicating a substantial level of involvement in the trafficking network.
Furthermore, authorities have charged 33-year-old Doniele Elie, who is currently of no fixed address, with conspiracy to traffic cocaine. Additionally, 67-year-old John Novak of Espanola faces charges for possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine.
At this time, no further details regarding the investigation have been made public, indicating that the authorities may still be actively gathering information and pursuing further leads in connection with this substantial drug trafficking operation.
