A second suspect named Kemyan Franklyn, a 20-year-old from Toronto, was arrested later and charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder on May 30, 2024. The collaboration between police forces in both Canada and the United States was instrumental in locating and apprehending Walker, showcasing a wider effort to address violent crime and find those who evade justice.
