A 37-year-old man from Toronto, identified as Chong Chen, has been charged in relation to a series of indecent acts that took place in Markham, Ontario. The York Regional Police reported that between June 9 and August 14 of this year, they received reports of five separate incidents occurring in the vicinity of McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue. In each of these incidents, women reported being approached by a male who subsequently exposed himself to them.

Following an investigation into these incidents, police increased their patrols in the area. On August 20, during these proactive operations, authorities apprehended Chen as a suspect in connection with the indecent acts reported earlier. His arrest led to multiple charges being laid against him, including six counts of indecent act, two counts of criminal harassment, and one count of prowling at night.

In light of these events, police have issued a public appeal for any additional information related to the case. They are asking anyone who may have been in the vicinity during the time of the incidents, witnessed any suspicious behavior, or has pertinent information to contact them.
