Additionally, recently unsealed court documents have unveiled a possible connection between Project South and the case involving former Canadian Olympian Ryan Wedding, who is under investigation for allegedly spearheading an international drug trafficking operation.
According to these documents, a man accused by U.S. authorities of aiding in the coordination of cocaine shipments for Wedding is being scrutinized for his alleged involvement in the plot to assassinate a Toronto corrections facility officer, an event that precipitated the Project South investigation. It is significant to note that this individual has not yet been charged criminally in relation to Project South.
