Toronto police are actively searching for a suspect involved in an assault incident that occurred near Rosedale Station earlier this week. The event took place on Monday at approximately 2:45 a.m., when police received reports regarding an individual carrying a knife within the station.

According to the allegations, the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Logan Cachene, was inside Rosedale Station when he unlawfully stole a fire extinguisher. Following this act of theft, he exited the station and approached two individuals who were in the vicinity.

The victims attempted to escape the situation; however, one of them unfortunately fell to the ground during their flight. It is alleged that the suspect then assaulted this individual. When the second victim tried to intervene to stop the assault, they too faced aggression from the suspect, leading to an escalation of the situation.

After the assaults, the suspect fled the scene just moments before police officers arrived at the location. Both victims sustained serious, yet non-life-threatening injuries, and were subsequently transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Logan Cachene, described as a male standing five feet seven inches tall with a heavy build, short black curly hair, and a black goatee, is facing multiple charges. These include aggravated assault, assault, theft under $5,000, and failing to comply with a release order. Authorities are urging anyone who may have information about the suspect's whereabouts or the incident itself to come forward and assist the police.

The situation has raised concerns among community members, highlighting issues of safety and crime in public transit areas. As the investigation continues, Toronto police are committed to apprehending the suspect and ensuring justice for the victims.
