"Bank Robber with Distinctive Smile Strikes BMO"

Halton Regional Police are actively searching for a bank robber who is described as having poor dental hygiene. The incident occurred at a Bank of Montreal (BMO) branch located at 519 Brant Street in Burlington on a Thursday evening around 5:40 p.m.

The suspect is characterized by police as a white male, approximately 25 years old, with “very yellow, bad teeth.” Upon entering the bank, the individual jumped over the counter and immediately focused on stealing rolls of coins and cash from accessible drawers. At the time of the robbery, there were both BMO staff members and a customer present inside the bank, leading to a highly distressing situation for those involved.

After successfully obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled the scene through a back door and got into a dark-colored sedan. Fortunately, it was noted that no weapons were seen or indicated during the robbery, and thankfully, no physical injuries were reported.

During the robbery, the suspect was wearing a grey hoodie, making him somewhat indistinguishable in the low-light environment. Additionally, he was described as having short, light-colored or brown hair, which may assist authorities in identifying him as the investigation progresses.

Halton Regional Police have encouraged the public to come forward with any information that could aid in their investigation. They have urged anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who possesses knowledge of the suspect’s identity to contact them directly.
