A 24-year-old man identified as Roshvin Crofton from Ajax is facing nearly a dozen charges in relation to a significant arson incident that resulted in damage to multiple homes last month. The event took place on August 24, when emergency crews were dispatched to investigate reports of a residential fire in the vicinity of Rossland Road West and Church Street North.
According to investigators, the fire was reportedly set to an unoccupied home, which subsequently spread to adjoining properties, causing extensive damage. Alarmingly, one of the neighboring homes was occupied at the time of the fire; fortunately, the residents managed to escape without injury.
