Toronto police are currently in pursuit of a suspect implicated in a series of arson incidents that occurred at the University of Toronto. The investigation, which is ongoing, revolves around events that took place on January 14, 2023, specifically on the St. George Campus.

Authorities report that the suspect, identified as Yuriy Khraplyvyy, a 42-year-old man with no fixed address, entered multiple buildings on campus during a specific timeframe from 2:40 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. on that day. During his time on the campus, Khraplyvyy allegedly set numerous fires and caused significant property damage before fleeing the scene.

As a result of his actions, Khraplyvyy is now facing serious charges, including three counts of arson causing damage to property, as well as charges of mischief under and mischief over.

In terms of physical appearance, the suspect is described as a male with short dark hair and is clean-shaven. Eyewitness accounts indicate that at the time of the incidents, he was last seen wearing a dark sweater paired with light grey pants, along with sunglasses, making it somewhat challenging for authorities to apprehend him.
