Toronto police reported a tragic incident in North York on Wednesday afternoon, where a vehicle crashed into a building, resulting in one fatality and four injuries. The accident occurred just before 2:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Dufferin Street and Finch Avenue West.
Authorities confirmed that a pedestrian was struck during the collision and subsequently became trapped inside the building. Duty Inspector Jon Rose provided further details during a press briefing, stating that the victim was inside the business when the vehicle barreled through the front entrance. In addition to the fatality, paramedics reported that two other individuals were transported to a hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
