York Regional Police officers are actively seeking to apprehend several suspects following a harrowing home invasion that occurred in King Township early Thursday morning. The incident took place around 1:45 a.m., prompting immediate investigations by law enforcement.
According to the police, three male suspects forcefully entered a residence located in the vicinity of King and Mill roads. Upon entering the home, the suspects were confronted by the homeowner, who faced a serious threat when one of the intruders brandished a firearm. This alarming encounter heightened the tension within the home, but fortunately, the homeowner and his family successfully managed to evade danger by hiding until the suspects vacated the premises.
After the invasion, the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan. Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and the family remains unharmed despite the terrifying ordeal. Authorities have described all three individuals as males dressed in dark clothing and wearing dark balaclavas, an outfit typically associated with concealment during criminal activities.
To assist in the investigation, police have released a brief video capturing the moment before, during, and after the invasion. This video includes footage of the suspects near the front of the house and later shows them running from the residence, providing crucial visual evidence for the ongoing investigation.
York Regional Police are urging anyone with information regarding this incident, or who may have seen suspicious activity in the area of King and Mill roads at the time, to come forward. With the release of the video and a detailed description of the suspects, authorities hope to gather leads that will ultimately lead to the identification and arrest of those responsible for this frightening crime.
