The Peel Region Police are currently searching for a 46-year-old man named Jordan Sangwin, who is wanted in connection with the tragic deaths of two individuals in their 70s in Mississauga. The incident occurred on Thursday night, June 18, 2026, at a residence located near the intersection of Hurontario Street and Lakeshore Road East. Investigators were alerted to the scene shortly after 7 p.m. following reports of an assault.
Upon arrival, paramedics performed life-saving measures at the location. Despite their efforts, a 70-year-old man and a 71-year-old woman were later confirmed deceased at the hospital after being transported in critical, life-threatening condition. Authorities have confirmed the victims were connected to Sangwin, with reports indicating that he is the son of the deceased.
Police have classified Jordan Sangwin as “armed and dangerous” and have urged the public not to approach him. Described as having a slim build and standing approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, he was last seen wearing a blue shirt, checkered shorts, and a baseball cap. The police have not disclosed the specifics regarding the manner of death but confirmed that it did not involve a firearm.
Insp. Mike Mavity stated, “We don’t believe he has a firearm on him, but given the nature of the incident, it’s something that we’re obviously concerned about and want the public to be aware of.” He subsequently added that, based on the information they have gathered, they do not believe there is an immediate threat to the general public, however, they are continuously reassessing the situation to ensure public safety.
This incident has raised significant concerns within the community, as it involves a family member allegedly committing acts of violence against elderly relatives.
