Peel Regional Police have announced a Canada-wide arrest warrant for a Brampton man, Kaleb Kimotho, in connection with a double shooting that occurred on April 26, 2023. Kimotho, 19 years old, is facing multiple serious charges including attempted murder using a firearm, aggravated assault, and discharging a firearm with intent.
According to police investigators, the incident took place while two individuals were seated in a vehicle near 1020 Central Park Drive in Brampton. During this time, Kimotho, accompanied by a second suspect, entered the back seat of the vehicle.
As the vehicle began to drive away, it is alleged that Kimotho fired a gun inside the car, resulting in the shooting of both victims. The police report indicates that the victims sustained serious injuries due to the gunfire.
For identification purposes, Kimotho is described as a Black male, standing approximately five feet eight inches tall and weighing around 130 pounds. He has short black hair, brown eyes, and a medium complexion. Due to the violent nature of the incident, police are warning the public that he should be considered armed and dangerous.
Authorities have emphasized the importance of public safety, advising individuals not to approach Kimotho if he is seen and to immediately call 911 to report his location. This warning underscores the gravity of the situation and the potential threat he poses to the community.
