Authorities in Toronto have announced the arrest of an 18-year-old teenager, Titus Hornby, in connection with a robbery investigation. This incident unfolded in the neighborhood surrounding Kingston Road and Scarborough Road on April 26, at approximately 4:30 p.m.
According to reports from the police, Hornby approached a man who was walking in the area. During this encounter, Hornby allegedly assaulted the victim in an attempt to steal his cell phone. However, the attempt was unsuccessful, and Hornby fled the scene before law enforcement could intervene.
Following a thorough investigation, police were able to locate Hornby on a subsequent Saturday after the incident. He was apprehended and taken into custody without further incident. As a result of the allegations against him, Hornby faces one count of robbery.
Hornby is scheduled to make an appearance in court on July 30, 2026, where the specifics of the charges will be addressed. This case highlights ongoing concerns regarding street crime and public safety in urban settings.
