The Ontario government is set to commence a significant expansion project for the Durham College Oshawa GO Transit station as part of the ongoing efforts to extend the Lakeshore East line to Bowmanville. The Durham College Oshawa GO station, pinpointed on Bloor Street West southwest of Stevenson Road South and Highway 401, currently serves as the eastern terminus of the Lakeshore East line. On Wednesday, construction crews officially initiated the expansion work, which includes the installation of two new sets of tracks, a new north platform equipped with a canopy and a snow-melting system, and an extended southside platform.
