A 28-year-old man has been arrested and is facing serious charges after allegedly exposing himself to multiple victims along the Toronto Transit Commission's (TTC) Line 1 subway route. The incidents highlight ongoing concerns about public safety within the city's transit system.
According to reports from the Toronto police, the first incident took place on September 1, 2023, at approximately 3 p.m. A man reportedly exposed himself to two individuals aboard a southbound subway train as it was approaching King Station. Following the exposure, the offender fled the scene after the train's security alarm was activated, prompting a swift response from transit officials.
In a subsequent incident, which occurred just past midnight on October 3, 2023, the same suspect allegedly followed another individual off a Line 1 subway train at College Station. Once on the escalator, the man exposed himself again, prompting the victim to confront him verbally. However, the suspect once again fled the scene before he could be apprehended.
The Toronto police have since arrested a suspect identified as Adebayo Maoli, who resides in Toronto. He has been charged with two counts of indecent act and one count of sexual assault, as the police continue their investigation into the incidents.
