The Toronto police are actively searching for a male suspect involved in a series of random attacks on women in North York, which occurred on Friday, February 6. The first incident happened around 5:12 p.m. when a woman was walking northbound in the vicinity of Yonge Street and Parkview Avenue.
Investigators have reported that as the woman was walking, a male suspect approached her while walking southbound. Without any warning or provocation, he struck her on the back of the head before continuing on his way. The woman immediately contacted the police to report the incident.
While she was still on the phone with the dispatcher, the woman witnessed the suspect strike another woman as he passed her on the street. Both women involved were unacquainted with each other, and fortunately, they both sustained only minor injuries.
The suspect is described by police as a male approximately five-foot-seven in height, aged between 25 to 35 years. He has a black moustache and was last seen wearing distinctive attire that included a black toque, a blue winter jacket, black pants, and shoes featuring a pattern of red, black, and white.
Authorities believe there may be additional victims and have encouraged anyone with information regarding the suspect or these incidents to reach out to the police.
