A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the alleged shooting of a man in Oshawa, Ontario, last month. The incident took place on June 14, around 3 p.m., in the vicinity of Ritson Road North and Pentland Street. According to Durham police, a 20-year-old man was found at the scene suffering from a gunshot wound. He was promptly transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries.

Following the incident, the Durham police launched an investigation that ultimately led to the arrest of the teenager on July 30 in Bowmanville. The boy, who is a resident of Oshawa, has been charged with several offenses including aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and multiple firearm-related crimes. Notably, at the time of the shooting, the suspect was already under weapons prohibition conditions, which has resulted in an additional charge of fail to comply with an undertaking.
