According to investigators, the suspect approached a man who was accompanied by another person and began making derogatory remarks. The comments were of an anti-Sikh nature and included various racial slurs. This verbal assault escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the suspect is alleged to have attacked the victim using a weapon, specifically stabbing him in the leg.

The victim sustained injuries that, although serious, were characterized by police as non-life threatening. Emergency services were called to the scene, and the injured man received the necessary medical attention following the attack.

The suspect has been described by witnesses as being approximately five feet six inches tall with black hair. The jersey had white stripes extending from the base of the neck down to each armpit. Additionally, the suspect was wearing blue jeans that had a dark grease mark on the left calf and grey and black running shoes made by New Balance.
