In his post, Trump criticized the media for what he described as “fiction and lies,” stating that no media outlet should continuously engage in such practices while reporting on the President of the United States. He also warned that other media outlets might face similar consequences in the future.
Trump has a long-standing history of criticizing the media, often asserting that he faces unfair scrutiny and engaging in disputes with journalists who question his policies. However, during this particular announcement, he did not provide specific instances or examples that led him to implement the ban.
There is uncertainty regarding the legality and practicality of President Trump’s ability to prevent these outlets from accessing the White House. Following the announcement, CNN's Chief Media Analyst, Brian Stelter, commented on the situation during CNN News Central, labeling Trump’s threat as "unusual."
