Police in Hamilton have announced the identification of a 15-year-old suspect linked to a tragic double-shooting incident that occurred in Stoney Creek. The suspect, named Rahziel Martin, is wanted on two counts of second-degree murder and four counts of attempted murder with a firearm.

The shooting took place in the early hours of July 29, around 2:30 a.m., on Candlewood Drive, located in east Hamilton. Responding officers discovered two males suffering from gunshot wounds, both of whom were later pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The victims have been identified as Abdulmalek Shibli, an 18-year-old, and Afef Binafif, a 16-year-old, both residents of Hamilton. The police indicated that the shooting may have been a retaliatory act stemming from an earlier disturbance that involved the use of bear spray at a residence in the east end of Hamilton.

According to investigators, an exchange of gunfire took place at the area near 191 Candlewood Drive, and they believe that at least six individuals were present during the incident. The situation escalated rapidly, leading to the fatal outcome for both victims.

Authorities have obtained judicial authorization to publicly disclose Martin's name and photograph, allowing them to do so until 11:59 p.m. on August 4, or until he is apprehended. This decision underscores the seriousness of the allegations against Martin and the ongoing efforts to locate him.
