According to investigators, an unknown assailant approached the vehicle Wang was in and opened fire, resulting in his death at the scene.
Following an extensive investigation, Toronto Police made a significant breakthrough in the case on August 24, 2026, by arresting Justin Longshaw, 39, who was charged with first-degree murder. On a later date, specifically on Thursday, Toronto police announced the arrest of a second suspect, identified as Christopher Atkins-Price, 30, also from Toronto. Like Longshaw, Atkins-Price has been charged with first-degree murder in Wang’s death.
