A Toronto man, Kaden Charles-Robinson, 21, faces a series of new charges following allegations of luring multiple underage victims through social media platforms and committing sexual assaults. The situation escalated when authorities discovered an additional victim beyond the initial case reported in June 2023.
According to investigators, Robinson first lured a victim on June 5, 2023, via Snapchat using the account name “K_Charles55.” The police reported that he met this victim in person and allegedly sexually assaulted them. The serious nature of the charges against him led to his arrest and the following charges were laid:
- Making sexually explicit material to a person under 16,
- Publishing intimate images without consent,
- Possession of child sexual abuse and exploitation material,
- Invitation to sexual touching under 16 years of age,
- Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age,
- Sexual assault with a weapon,
- Making child sexual abuse and exploitation material,
- Extortion,
- Use of imitation firearm during the commission of an indictable offence,
- Two counts of making explicit sexual material to persons under 18,
- Two counts of making available sexually explicit material to persons under 16,
- Two counts of telecommunication with a person under 18 for criminal offences, and
- Two counts of telecommunication with a person under 16 for criminal offences.
Discovery of Additional Victim and New Charges
The investigation into Robinson's activities continued, leading to the discovery of another victim. This second incident reportedly occurred in April 2024 when Robinson allegedly engaged in an online conversation with the victim through an Instagram account under the username “@k_charles789.” Police claim that he persuaded the victim to send him sexual videos and, in turn, he provided explicit videos of himself.
Robinson allegedly arranged a meeting with this new victim at a park in Etobicoke, where he is said to have physically assaulted them. Disturbingly, the accusations include claims that Robinson held a firearm to the victim's stomach and attempted to force the victim into his car. Fortunately, the victim managed to escape the situation.
Following the second victim's case, Robinson now faces an expanded list of charges including:
- Three counts of telecommunication with a person under or believed to be under 16 years for specific criminal offences,
- Accessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material,
- Printing, publishing, or possessing child sexual abuse material with the intent to publish,
- Possessing child sexual abuse and exploitation material,
- Making available sexually explicit material to a person under or believed to be under 16 for specific criminal offences,
- Sexual interference with a person under 16 years of age,
- Sexual assault,
- Forcible confinement, and
- Using an imitation firearm while committing an indictable offence.
The investigation remains active, and authorities believe there may be more victims. They are urging anyone with information related to the case to come forward and contact the police. The alarming nature of these allegations highlights the ongoing issue of child exploitation and the importance of vigilance in protecting minors in digital spaces.
