Three men from the Greater Toronto Area have been charged in connection with what authorities describe as a "targeted shooting" that occurred in Mississauga last month. The incident took place on September 3, 2025, around 4:00 a.m., when a white Ford Explorer was reportedly following another vehicle near the intersection of Southdown Road and Lake Shore Road West.
According to Peel Regional Police (PRP), the situation escalated between the two vehicles, leading to a serious confrontation. The suspect driving the Ford Explorer allegedly fired his weapon nine times towards the other vehicle. This violent act left one victim—a man in his mid-30s—with serious injuries. He was subsequently transported to a hospital for treatment, although his current condition remains unknown.
After a thorough investigation lasting several weeks, authorities arrested 18-year-old Daniel Emmanual from Mississauga. He faces an array of serious charges, totaling nine, including attempted murder, aggravated assault, and various firearms-related offenses, reflecting the severity of the actions taken during the shooting incident.
On October 29, 2025, Peel Regional Police executed a search warrant that led to the arrest of two additional individuals linked to the case. Loreto Perruzza, a 55-year-old resident of Mississauga, has been charged with obstruction of justice and being an accessory after the fact. Furthermore, 34-year-old Leeone Francesco from Oakville was also arrested and charged with multiple offenses—including obstructing a police officer, public mischief by making a false statement, and being an accessory after the fact.
