Toronto police are currently seeking the assistance of the public in locating a woman believed to be connected to two recent robberies that occurred in downtown Toronto. These incidents took place in the area of Dundas Street West and Bay Street, raising concerns about safety in this busy part of the city.

The first robbery transpired just after 9 p.m. on March 19, when the suspect entered a retail store and began to collect multiple items in a basket. After placing the items in the basket, the woman abandoned it at the front of the store. When store employees approached to retrieve the basket, the suspect reportedly became aggressive. She physically assaulted two employees, allegedly spraying one of them with an unknown substance before fleeing the scene.

In a separate incident, on November 7 just before 7 p.m., police were called to the same location after receiving reports of another robbery involving the same woman. During this occurrence, she entered the store and displayed what appeared to be pepper spray. After grabbing several items, she left the store, making her escape westbound on Dundas Street West.

Authorities have provided a description of the suspect, stating that she is believed to be in her early 20s, approximately five-feet-six tall, and of slim to medium build. Notably, she has identifiable tattoos: one on her finger and a star-shaped tattoo located above her right hip. This information could help the public in identifying her.

In the first robbery, witnesses reported that she had black straight hair styled with front bangs. At the time, she was wearing a black zip-up hoodie, blue and white pajama pants, and white shoes. Interestingly, during the second theft, her appearance changed; she was seen wearing a brown wig and was dressed in a long dark-colored coat accompanied by black pants.

The police are urging anyone who may have seen the suspect or have any information regarding her whereabouts to come forward. The safety of the community is a priority, and cooperation from the public could be instrumental in apprehending this suspect and preventing further incidents.

These incidents raise significant concerns regarding public safety in the downtown area. Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities. The police are committed to investigating these events thoroughly and ensuring that individuals who engage in criminal activities are held accountable.

Toronto's residents can play a crucial role in supporting law enforcement efforts. By providing tips and staying informed, the community can aid in reducing crime and enhancing the overall safety of the neighborhood.
