A police investigation is currently underway to locate a 40-year-old woman named Tanychia Black following an incident involving her dogs at a dog park located in Summerhill. The incident occurred on September 10, when Black and her two dogs were present in an off-leash area of the enclosed park, situated at Avenue Road and Roxborough Street.
During their time at the park, the dogs allegedly escaped the enclosure and charged towards another individual who was walking their dog nearby. This unfortunate turn of events led to an attack that resulted in injuries for both the person and their pet. Authorities report that the pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries, but the dog involved suffered severe, life-threatening injuries.
Police are urging the public's assistance in locating Tanychia Black, who is described as being five feet ten inches tall with a heavy build. The last known sighting of her was when she was wearing a navy-blue hair bonnet, a mustard-colored hoodie, light-colored pants, and dark shoes featuring white soles.
In connection with this incident, Black is wanted on multiple charges, including criminal negligence causing bodily harm. Additionally, she faces two counts of failing to prevent her dogs from biting or attacking others, as well as two counts related to her dogs biting a person or another domestic animal.
The dogs involved in the attack are reportedly large breeds, either pit bulls or bull terriers. Their coloring is described as dark grey or grey, with one dog notably having a white chest.
