A Toronto spa worker, 66-year-old David Ludwig, is facing multiple sexual assault charges as additional victims have come forward. The initial arrest occurred in July when a victim reported being sexually assaulted during a massage at an Etobicoke spa clinic located near Lakeshore Boulevard West and Thirty Third Street. Following the allegation, Ludwig was placed in custody and charged with one count of sexual assault. His court appearance was tentatively scheduled for September.
The investigation took a significant turn when authorities appealed to the public for information about Ludwig's activities over the summer. This appeal appears to have been effective, as police reported new developments regarding Ludwig's criminal behavior.
In a recent update shared on Saturday, investigators connected Ludwig to a separate sexual assault case that dates back seven years. According to reports, another victim had visited the same massage clinic in Etobicoke in November 2018, where she also alleged that she was sexually assaulted during her treatment. This connection led to Ludwig's rearrest.
On Saturday, following the new evidence from the historical case, Ludwig was charged with an additional count of sexual assault. He is now scheduled to appear in court on February 11, 2026.
In a bid to identify any potential further victims, law enforcement officials have released a photo of Ludwig. They are actively encouraging anyone with additional information related to his conduct or the ongoing investigation to come forward and contact the police. The authorities' outreach underscores the seriousness of the allegations and their commitment to ensuring justice for all potential victims connected to the incidents at the spa clinic.
