BOWEN ISLAND – A former Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officer from British Columbia, Michael Scoretz, has been charged with multiple offenses related to the sharing of sensitive information. Scoretz, who is 47 years old and resides on Bowen Island, west of Vancouver, is facing a total of 13 charges, including seven counts of breach of trust. The allegations stem from work-related materials that were reportedly discovered in his home.
According to the police, Scoretz had sworn to maintain secrecy under the Security of Information Act due to his former role.
